25th May to 1st June - Denekamp, the Netherlands

Know enough already? Fill in your entry form now!

The Morris Minor Owners Club have been running Minors On Tour for over 40 years (well, apart from Covid) and been taking dozens of Minors across the English Channel for a week’s carefree holiday in Europe among like minded people  creating memories and raising a couple of quid for charity. Why not make 2024 the year you join us, and discover that your Minor is capable of so much more than just nipping to the local pub on Sunday?

The 2024 Trip

Denekamp, nestled in the picturesque Dutch countryside, offers a stunning backdrop for Minors on Tour 2024.  Situated in the heart of Europe, close to the German border – quaint villages, and winding roads make for an idyllic setting to take your Morris Minor  (and yourself) for a holiday guaranteed to make unforgettable memories.

We are being hosted at the Papillon Country Resort who are offering a variety of accommodation and excellent on site facilities. Whether you decide to camp on one of the serviced pitches or take a more comfortable chalet or bungalow, the site caters for all tastes.

The MOT Organising Team will be planning the usual favourite activities, and offering plenty of alternative trips and days out when you wish to go your own way during your stay.
Nothing is mandatory on MOT – except that you have fun and go at your own pace.

Nearby towns Oldenzaal, Nordhorn, Bad Bentheim, Ootmarsum, and the city of Enschesde are within a short driving distance offering a selection of history, museums, shops and markets.

We love MOT to be an inclusive trip, run by members for members. Attendees are encouraged to get involved especially if they are new to MOT, be it helping with activities, selling raffle tickets or maybe operating the bar for a couple of nights. MOT has a proud and established history of being a trip filled with humour and fun. Long may it continue…..

Accommodation

Originally MOT was a camping only affair, and whilst some attendees do prefer to risk it all in a vintage tent, the majority nowadays opt for a chalet or bungalow to ensure a dry and pleasant holiday. Papillon offer a wide variety to suit everybody’s budget.

Getting Your
Minor Ready

It’s all about the preparation. A well-looked-after Minor will go anywhere, well almost! We assume that you will have a roadworthy (with the usual MOT) and reliable Minor to ensure you have an enjoyable trip. We advise a standard set of common spares, and European Breakdown Cover. Members always help out in times of trouble and some of them can hear a bonnet catch at 500 yards!

Group
Activities

The organisers arrange a number of events during the day and evening on most days. MOT is a holiday, and you decide how much you join in or not.
